Leading with Technology in Finance
5-Day Immersion Program at EPFL
Our program brings together a select group of highly experienced digital innovators from the banking and Finance Technlogy industries, as well as top academics who specialize in technology research and education. Participants will be fully immersed in the world of innovation, technology, finance, and start-ups, with access to one of the best finance institutes at EPFL's College of Management and the Innovation Park.
Our approach goes beyond simply explaining what new technologies are - as many other courses do - and places a major emphasis on their practical use-cases. We believe that it is critical to understand not just the technologies themselves, but how to use them effectively!
One of the key differentiators of our program is that we devote two full days to discussing how to successfully implement these technologies in a banking environment. This involves a deep understanding of your client, as finance technlogies have shown that the user experience (UX) is a key factor in their success. Additionally, we will help you understand the culture of your IT/Finance Technology partner - including concepts such as "agile" and "scrum" - and how to define your innovation strategy. We will also provide guidance on selecting the right finance technology partner (or deciding not to partner with one), finding the best location for your company to grow, managing change during a digital transformation in a bank, and remaining mindful of regulatory considerations.
How do we differentiate from all the other Finance Technlogy executive education courses?

I chose to participate to update myself on the latest technologies and trends in the Finance Technology environment in Switzerland, to network with other banking players, and finally, to benefit from concrete examples of implementation projects carried out by banking players and the feedback they received.
This course is unique in its kind. To my knowledge, there is no other course on the European market that can be compared to this one in terms of content and approach. The format of the course (1 week) was ideal, it facilitated the networking with the other participants. The atmosphere between the participants and the speakers was very good and stimulating.
They did the course, what they say:
Morgane Lequand
Head of Transformation - Corporate Banking Banque Cantonale Vaudoise
Gil Fontannaz
Chief Product Officer Azqore
I was very enthusiastic about participating in this course. As someone who works in the field of Finance Technlogy, I have learned a lot on the job, but I was interested in sharing my experiences with others and learning more about the academic side of this field.
This course made me realize that we don’t have much choice: we have to adapt and transform the mode of organization of our company to be more agile, more product-oriented than project-oriented. We were able to share our experiences with our colleagues and reassure others that it is not just theory, but in practice the tech world in finance operates in this way.
