The EPFL EMBA focuses on providing a bridge between the technology and innovation strength of EPFL and the international business community. Getting to know each other is a crucial part of the program. 

Participants will not only share the joys and challenges of this program for 16 months, but will also learn from each other. To facilitate this, and to launch straight into the first courses, the program kicks off with a 6 day intensive week.

At the end of the program, our participants meet in South Africa, to combine and apply all the learnings in a practical setting, and work with  a young, dynamic company or organization in the Cape Town area, to help solve a current business challenge facing the company. 

This allows them to experience how diverse cultural influences impact businesses.

Hands-On Learning Through Real-World Projects

Beyond coursework, our program immerses you in practical, high-impact projects that bridge theory with real-world application, which includes:

• The Strategic and Innovative Project – Conduct an in-depth analysis of a key challenge in your organization, delivering actionable insights and solutions that are of value to the company.
  
  
• The Business Venture Project – Collaborate as an entrepreneurial team to develop a comprehensive business plan for a new product or service.
  
  
• The Business Innovation Challenge – Tackle a real-world business challenge in a fast-paced, weekend innovation sprint.
  
  
• The Capstone Project – During the International Study Trip, develop a solution plan to a business challenge presented by a local organization pursuing a social mission.
  
  

The program’s curriculum is reviewed every year to ensure continuous improvement and relevance and may vary slightly from year to year.
